Two childhood friends, barely old enough to drive, started racing together in the late 60’s, and continue that tradition today.
Kerry O’Day and Bob Canestrini started building go-carts as kids and moved on to Baja Bugs and motorcycles as teens. They raced everywhere they could from Motocross, to hill climbs, to desert races. The two traveled the West to get their adrenalin high.
After three years of serious riding, it was time to grow up and take life a little more seriously; college, jobs, and families took priority, but the passion for racing was always calling.
After a 32-year break the two are back together, doing what they love . . . racing motorcycles. With 55 in their rear view mirrors, The Old and Slow Racing Team endeavor to prove that you don’t need to be young to enjoy the world of speed.
